How to make your own hand sanitizer

File this relevant practicality under “self-care and kindness.” Take some time to replenish tools that support you. This is my first in a series. Any time I’ve used hand sanitizers in public since since COVID became a pandemic, they have dramatically irritated. In an effort to reduce, reuse, and recycle, I refill my bottles of OnGuard sanitizing mist for ease. This is also super handy for occasionally cleaning my cell phone and can be used in myriad ways.

Why do this?
1. It’s more nourishing to your skin (if you add vitamin E and aloe),
2. It can be cheaper than other hand sanitizers,
3. You know precisely what’s in it; there are no added chemicals.
4. It’s a way to take care of yourself.

DIY Hand Sanitizing Recipe:

INGREDIENTS:
4 Teaspoons Rubbing Alcohol
1 Teaspoon Fractionated Coconut Oil
30 Drops OnGuard
2-3 drops vitamin E (optional)
2.3 drops aloe (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a 1 ounce / 30ml spray bottle
Shake until well combined
Spray on hands and rub hands together
