Hey there, I'm Dr. Dawn Browning

I help high-achieving women reconnect with their breath and body through conscious breathing techniques and glucose management so they can stop running on empty and start operating from genuine strength.

For 37 years, I've lived with Type 1 diabetes with zero long-term complications.

That's not luck—that's what happens when self-regulation becomes survival.
What started as necessity became my life's work: teaching women that energy management isn't about willpower, it's about understanding how your nervous system actually works.

You know something needs to shift

You're in the right place if you're tired of waking up already behind, carrying tension in places you've normalized (hello, neck and shoulders), and watching your usual self-care strategies fall flat.

Maybe you're productive but never peaceful, exhausted despite your incredible drive, or feeling disconnected from the wisdom of your own body.

If you're done pushing through when your body says stop, and you're ready for evidence-based mental health tools that work with your analytical mind while honoring what you've been disconnecting from, keep reading.

Traditional pranayama and nervous system regulation aren't just wellness trends… they're essential for sustainable energy management.

Here's when it clicked for me

Picture this: I'm in yoga therapy training, stressed beyond belief, and my insulin literally stops working. My blood sugar stays dangerously high for 36 hours. Then, during a guided breath and visualization practice using traditional pranayama, everything shifts. In 45 minutes, my blood sugar drops dramatically.

That moment taught me something most people never consider: energy management is glucose management. And both are deeply connected to nervous system regulation through conscious breathing.

As a scientist, I couldn't ignore what I'd experienced. I delved deeply into understanding why so many brilliant women burn out, despite doing “all the right things.” What I discovered changed how I approach wellness entirely—and gave me a responsibility to share what actually works.

This isn't about theory. It's about a method I've lived, tested, and refined for decades through my own high-stakes health management. Every technique I teach, every principle I share, every practice I guide you through, I use them myself, daily.

I know exactly what you're dealing with

Type 1 diabetes is the lens through which I perceive self-regulation. In that way, it's been a gift.

As a Ph.D. research scientist, I've spent decades studying complex systems — from rattlesnake den habitat to vegetation dynamics in arid systems. But my most important research has been on myself: understanding how traditional pranayama and metabolic awareness create sustainable energy regulation.

I am my own best case study.

I'm one of only 12 certified teachers worldwide in the Gitananda pranayama tradition, a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), and a certified aromatherapist. My scientific background equips me with the rigor to understand why these ancient practices work, while my lived experience proves they do.

Integrity and responsibility are my core values, which means I only teach what I've personally tested and lived for decades. When I guide you through a breathing practice, it's one I use daily. When I explain glucose regulation, it's knowledge I apply to my own survival every single day.

My superpower is pattern recognition, and I help you connect the dots between what's happening in your nervous system and what's showing up in your energy, relationships, and work.

Between you and me…

Here’s what else you should know

I stand with science and bridge modern science with ancient yogic wisdom. Your body already knows how to regulate itself – it just needs the right conditions. My job is to teach you how to create those conditions through breath and metabolic awareness.

When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me sky gazing, playing with watercolors, winning at foosball (no spinning), or sitting outside doing absolutely nothing (seriously, it's a skill I teach).

I'm infinitely curious—my research journey took me from studying tadpoles to rattlesnakes to endangered falcons.

I'm definitely a dog person. And Elvis Presley tunes make everything better, especially when I'm cooking in the kitchen.

The bottom line I want you to learn from being in my world is this: there's nothing wrong with you… you're just disconnected from your true self. My role is to help you remember what is always there through the precise tools your body actually responds to.
